This is the best briefcase on the market.
There are similar field bag type briefcases on the market, but none in all leather.
This bag is expandable. Brass snaps at the top sides of the bag allow for an expanded or compressed setting—transforming this leather briefcase from a slim every day carry, laptop bag to a weekender bag. The carry handles are made from a single, free-floating strap of leather weaved through the bag and riveted unto itself. This allows you to slide an umbrella or baguette through the straps on the bottom, and lets gravity always keep the bag as thin as the contents will allow.
The advantage to a strap that wraps around the bag as opposed to a handle that is attached to the top flap is that you can easily get into the bag while holding the handles, and you don’t have to buckle the bag closed to carry it. In the past, I’d see similarly styled briefcases and think that the handles were feminine. But having these handles made from a solid, thick strap of leather as opposed to a thinner strap that’s folded onto itself and stitched solves that.
Single monofilament polyester thread, pull fastener, and brass snaps all sourced from Germany. All the leather is American.
