The Standard Classic briefcase is carefully designed to function, go with a suit, and last for generations. It is made from the highest quality, full-grain cow leather that is very substantial.

The laptop compartment is 14 inches wide, 10.5 inches high, and 1 inch deep.
The main compartment is 14 x 10.5 x 3 inches.
The leather used is slowly veg tanned with only natural ingredients, and all hardware is solid brass with a brushed nickel finish. Only the strongest, marine-grade German made polyester thread is used to hand saddle stitch the bag together. All exposed stitches are also stitched into a shallow groove to further protect them. The Standard Classic briefcase is engineered with the strongest hand-set copper rivets available. Over time, the leather and rivets will patina to an even more distinguished look. Absolutely no shortcuts or cost saving measures are used in the making of this briefcase.
I created the Standard Classic briefcase after using many other high-quality briefcases and satchels. Each had advantages, but none included every functional feature I needed in one bag. The Standard Classic briefcase was born out of necessity. With a busy job at various locations a day using every mode of transportation in NYC, I needed a bag that makes it possible to quickly and securely stow and retrieve my phone very often. I also needed to securely pack and quickly access a credit card and metro card. The unique slanted front pocket are sized and oriented to do this. Like the rest of the bag, they are made from as few pieces of leather as possible. The larger pocket is made from a single piece of leather that folds onto itself and both have an extra slot pocket behind them for more storage. The stud closures are the same types used in legendary Swiss army leather packs from WWI and WWII that are still functional generations later.
All Double Rivet Leather products are hand cut and hand stitched to order in New York with American sourced and tanned leather from one of the few remaining American heritage tanneries. There is a three-week lead time on leather bag orders.
